DUTY FREE TERMS, CONDITIONS & INSTRUCTIONS


Visitors to French Polynesia qualify for

DUTY FREE STATUS

Please follow the instructions below to  validate your VAT / TVA status.
*Failure to return the included export documents will nullify your duty free status per Government regulations and you will be charged the tax.

We suggest adding an alert to your phone as a reminder.  

Your purchase included a stamped pre-addressed envelope

containing your official export documents.  

  • Tahiti International Airport Departure :  

    • After going through customs and baggage inspection look for the Customs Machine near your international gate.

    • Time stamp the pink and yellow copies with the customs machine shown below.

    • Return the pink sheet stamped by customs in the provided stamped envelope and drop in the mailbox located near the duty free machine. 

  • Sea Departure (Cruise Ship): Contact your Purser onboard ship and leave with Purser.

  • Sea departure (Yachts): Contact your Port agent​.

IMPORTANT: If you were unable to present the Export Sale Form upon departure, you may have it stamped by the Customs of your country, the French Consulate, or a Public Notary and return by mail to

Anapa Perles BP 790 Uturoa Raiatea French Polynesia 98735. 

ALL Export documents must be returned within 6 months to benefit from duty free status. If your Export documents are not returned the  VAT /TVA will not be refunded. Please follow these simple steps to insure your duty free status and your refund.

Tout remboursement de la taxe sur la valeur ajoutée (TVA) sera en francs CFP. Veuillez noter que nous ne pouvons être tenus responsables des frais ou différences de taux de change pratiqués par votre banque.

All reimbursements of the value-added tax (VAT) will be paid in Pacific Francs (CFP). Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any fees or exchange rate differences applied by your bank.
